Patients in Louisville KY will generally receive six (6) ketamine infusions over 3-4 weeks, depending on their treatment plan recommended by our medical staff. Every infusion takes place at the clinic with the support and guidance of a Wellness Coach. Generally, patients can expect for each ketamine infusion to last 45 minutes to one (1) hour.

A Patient-Informed Treatment Setting

The treatment setting is designed to maximize healing, comfort, and safety during the infusion. You can expect the following amenities, procedures, and perks:

• Patients will lay comfortably on a leather recliner, not a hospital bed
• Soft, warm designer blankets–never bleached white sheets or quilts

  • All rooms are dimly-lit, feature blackout curtains, and twinkling lights
  • All rooms are carpeted to absorb noisy distractions
  • All patients are given eye shades to neutralize sensitivity to light
  • You can expect medical staff and coaches to communicate with you at a low volume
• The highest quality essential oils are diffused to promote serenity, tranquility, and equanimity
• Since ketamine can produce feelings of dissociation, detachment, intense relaxation, or a dream-like state (although not everyone reacts similarly)...
  • Your Wellness Coach will provide you with squishy toys and fidgets to squeeze so that you always have a way to reconnect with the present moment and setting
  • Calming, instrumental music is used as another tool for reconnecting with the here and now

Once you are settled in the recliner, a member of our medical staff will check your vitals, let you know what to expect during the procedure, insert the IV, and start the ketamine infusion. Although the medical staff will check on you periodically, your Wellness Coach will guide you through the experience and communicate your needs to the medical staff should you require their assistance.

At the conclusion of the ketamine infusion, you will be accompanied by a staff member to the lobby to meet up with the person you designated to drive you home. Patients are not permitted to drive themselves home after a ketamine infusion at Reclaim Wellness Group. Patients may arrange to be picked up by a rideshare service (e.g., Lyft, Uber, etc.). If a patient elects to use a rideshare service, a member of our staff will escort them out of the building via wheelchair upon exiting the clinic.
